Porträts und Performances eines poetischen Streuners

Der Koffer, mit dem Thomas Frahm 2015 allein, ab- und ausgebrannt aus Bulgarien zurückkehrte, wog 27 kg. Der Rest seiner poetischen Zugewinngemeinschaft mit dem nackten Leben befand sich in seinem Kopf und wollte raus. Der zuvor allzu domestizierte Deutsche war in Bulgarien endlich an die Luft gekommen – die dreckige Luft der multiethnischen, lebendigen Großstadt Sofia. Dort gab es niemanden, der Held seines Lebens werden konnte außer ihm selbst. So fühlte er sich plötzlich als Held einer dramatischen Geschichte, die nur er selbst kannte und legitim erzählen durfte.

Für den kontaktfreudigen Einzelgänger und poetischen Streuner wurde die Großstadt zur Wunschfamilie. Das wollte Frahm nicht mehr missen. Also ging er auch an seinem neuen Lebensmittelpunkt Ruhrort auf die Straße.

In der Solo-Text- und Songrevue im Rahmen seiner Ruhrort-Saga führt er auf und vor, wie das Leben in der wachsenden Ruhrorter Straßenfamilie sich neue Reime auf seine Erinnerungen an Bulgarien suchte.

Die 45. Duisburger Akzente zeigen vom 2. bis zum 24. März 2024 die Vielfalt der Kultur in Duisburg. Das Kreativquartier Ruhrort beteiligt sich mit einer Vielzahl von Ausstellungen, Konzerten, Lesungen und vielem mehr.

Portraits and performances by a poetic astray.

The suitcase with which Thomas Frahm returned from Bulgaria in 2015, alone and burnt out, weighed 27 kg. The rest of his poetic communion with naked life was in his head and wanted to get out. The previously overly domesticated German had finally come up for air in Bulgaria - the dirty air of the multi-ethnic, vibrant city of Sofia. There was no one there who could become the hero of his life except himself. So he suddenly felt like the hero of a dramatic story that only he knew and could legitimately tell.

For the outgoing loner and poetic drifter, the big city became the family of his dreams. Frahm no longer wanted to miss it. So he also took to the streets in Ruhrort, his new centre of life.

In the solo text and song revue as part of his Ruhrort saga, he shows how life in the growing Ruhrort street family found new rhymes for his memories of Bulgaria.
