DARGEBOTEN | Rosemarie Abel – Trinkhallen und Eisblumen

Rosemarie Abel fotografiert intensiver seit sie nicht mehr berufstätig ist.

Erst einmal besuchte sie viele Lehrgänge und Vorträge zu den verschiedenen Fotothemen, u.a. ist sie viele Jahre lang nach Dortmund zu Lehrgängen von Prof. Mante gefahren.

Prof. Mante ist vielen Fotografen ein Begriff, stammen von ihm wichtige Lehrbücher in denen er systematisch Fotografie erläutert und mit Beispielen illustriert. Durch ihn hat sich ihre Liebe zur Farbe verstärkt, war doch der Spitzname von Harald Mante nicht ohne Grund „Colour Harry“.

In der Zeit in Dortmund hat sie an vielen Gemeinschaftsausstellungen mit Prof. Harald Mante und den Kursteilnehmer/-innen teilgenommen. In Duisburg gab es zwei dieser Ausstellungen mit Prof. Mante in der Bibliothek in Ruhrort und in der Bezirksbibliothek Rheinhausen zum Thema Lesezeichen. Die Idee zu dem Thema kam von Rosemarie Abel und wurde mit vielen kreativen Motiven umgesetzt.   

Das Puppenmuseum in Tecklenburg, zu dem damals eine riesige Ausstellungshalle gehörte, war bevorzugter Ausstellungsort. Im Museum der deutschen Binnenschifffahrt in Duisburg hatte Rosemarie Abel eine Einzelausstellung und bis nach Leipzig sind ihre Fotos gereist.

Sie hat im Laufe der Jahre zu vielen Themen fotografiert:
Trinkhallen, Nebel, Stillleben oder Aufnahmen, die ihre Faszination durch Unschärfe erhalten.

Rosemarie Abel has been photographing more intensively since she has stopped working.

First of all, she attended many courses and lectures on various photographic topics, including many years of travelling to Dortmund to attend courses given by Prof. Mante.

Prof Mante is known to many photographers as he wrote important textbooks in which he systematically explains photography and illustrates it with examples. He reinforced her love of colour, as Harald Mante's nickname was "Colour Harry" for a reason.

During her time in Dortmund, she took part in many joint exhibitions with Professor Harald Mante and the course participants. In Duisburg, there were two of these exhibitions with Prof. Mante in the library in Ruhrort and in the Rheinhausen district library on the subject of bookmarks. The idea for the theme came from Rosemarie Abel and was realised with many creative motifs.   

The doll museum in Tecklenburg, which at the time included a huge exhibition hall, was the favoured exhibition venue. Rosemarie Abel had a solo exhibition at the Museum der deutschen Binnenschifffahrt in Duisburg and her photos have travelled as far as Leipzig.

Over the years, she has photographed many themes:
Drinking halls, fog, still lifes or shots that get their fascination from being out of focus.
